Everything you need to know about New River Contracting.
Be the region's leading contracting professionals by delivering honesty, reliability, and superior craftsmanship for all of our customers, providing rewarding careers and stability for our people, and leaving a legacy of excellence in the community we call home.
OUR VALUES & BELIEFS.
We want to leave our home better than we found it. Whether our diverse team is working on a historical preservation project or a non-traditional building site on the edge of a river, improving quality of life, protecting our environment, and respecting our neighbor is all in a day's work.
Brad Scott is a third-generation contractor and serves as the team's biggest motivator. In life and at New River Contacting, Brad lives by this motto, “Be active, be positive, and be passionate.” Whether he’s jackhammering through the floors of a former bomb shelter, restoring historic stained glass window trim, or leading a morning “Come to Jesus” meeting with the team, he’s committed to leaving behind a legacy that serves his community. In his free time, you can find Brad and his family on a trail for a hike, fishing a local stream, or volunteering with the National Park Service River Rangers.
Wendy Parks Scott knows that getting dusty is part of the job, and you can find her working alongside the team or climbing a ladder to paint all the hard-to-reach places. She’s a skilled tradeswoman and an expert painter with keen attention to detail. Wendy is teaching herself new tricks daily. You can find her with her family or hiking, biking, running, or boating around the New River Gorge in her free time.
Growing up, Brad Scott’s father and grandfather would talk about jobs they had completed as contractors, and often, they would go the long way home or even drive out of the way to pass by their work.
In that work was a legacy that extended well beyond a paycheck, a pat on the back, or a “good job” from a friend. Now, Brad drives by jobs he’s completed with his son and daughter – and he knows that the legacy of the work New River Contracting does today will affect their sense of belonging and pride for what his son calls “my city.”
That legacy will be ingrained in the New River Gorge, and you’ll be able to see it everywhere you look.
There is a lifetime of work to do, and Fayetteville, WV, is where we plan to do it.
